With over 17 years of experience, we can help with our on-farm, hands-on course. Finally, the training you need to put farm fresh meat in your freezer and put those extra roos to good use.

Thank you for your interest in our onsite, hands-on, educational courses that will teach you how to Process and Package your Poultry.

 

In order to learn how to process and package your poultry, there are 2 courses to take! *Both of these courses will be offered in a small group setting.

 

Course 1- How to Process Poultry 

 

In this course, you will learn step-by-step how to butcher your birds. Some of the topics we will cover are:

 

-Preparing your birds to butcher

-How to set up and which equipment and tools you will need

-How long it will take

-The Butchering Process 

 

No supplies are needed. Dress appropriately with old clothing, rubber boots, and gloves. This course will take approximately 2 hours and the cost is $200. This will be held rain or shine on Saturday, July 13th @10-1pm, Saturday, August 24th @10am -1pm AND Saturday, September 21st @ 10 am-1pm

 

***BREAK IN BETWEEN CLASSES***

 

Course 2- Different Cuts of Chicken and Packaging 

 

-What Tools, Equipment, and Supplies You Will Need

-Cleaning and Preparing the Area

-The basics of how to do different cuts of Poultry 

-Packaging and Storing 

 

No supplies are needed. Dress appropriately with old clothing, and rubber boots. We will provide rubber throw-away gloves. This course will take approximately 2 hours and the cost is $200. This will be held on Saturday, July 13th @ 6-8pm, Saturday,  August 24th @ 6-8 PM AND Saturday, September 21st @ 6-8PM.
