On the Robar Farm

We believe in living off the land, growing our own food, and raising our own animals to ensure only the best farm practices and best health for our family.

We started from scratch and have been small-scale farming since 2006. As we became more knowledgeable and experienced in many different areas of farming — and saw the lack of help and support available for beginners — we decided to start sharing the knowledge we’ve gathered over the last 16 years so you and your family can be more self-reliant, too!

WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT

FOOD IS MEDICINE

You can't possibly be healthy eating chemically treated and genetically modified foods with additives and hormones

OR

Animals that aren't fed a proper diet.

When you grow your own food, you have full control over what you eat, knowing the animals were raised with the best possible care and quality of life. You'll also reduce your reliance on toxic, store-bought foods and have less to worry about during food shortages.

ON OUR FARM, WE RAISE Rare Heritage Pigs, Maremmas to protect your livestock, many different Heritage and Rare Poultry of numerous types/colors, and sought-after breeds of Waterfowl.

We provide the opportunity to raise your own quality animals and are excited to answer your questions, as well as educate, support, and teach through our courses found both online and on our small acreage in Sturgeon County, Alberta.

Kristen

New to country life, we had lots of questions, but Tracey didn’t hesitate to help. The 2 African geese we got from Tracey are healthy, vibrant and oh so fun! Be sure to keep her info handy because you will soon be wanting to add more of her delightful babies like we did.

Sara

New beginnings Poultry and Ducks is my go-to for hatching eggs and ducklings! Amazing hatch rates and beautiful birds! They stand by their product!

Rick

I started off knowing nothing about owning roosters 🐓 n chickens. I contacted Tracey a month before my decision and commitment to bring such a flock onto my acreage. Within that month you taught me knowledge from breeds of roosters n chickens 🐔, to how to make a homemade coop, including winterizing one, water, feed, nesting, lighting, etc...

Through your kindness of heart, you personally delivered my flock family. You stayed around for an hour, explaining as much as you could in your personal time so I would be comfortable and committed.

Thanks, Tracey

God bless

Sandy

I have been purchasing duck, turkey, and goose eggs from New Beginnings Poultry & Duck for a number of years. On many occasions, I toured the farm and am always beyond impressed with how well the birds are taken care of and how clean everything is kept. Tracey is incredibly knowledgeable and able to answer any questions that I have had. I have never had a problem with any of the eggs I have purchased. It is always a great day when I know I am headed her way to pick up eggs.

Kennedy

New Beginnings provided us with stunning, healthy, quality purebred birds that were sourced and bred with intention and care. Tracey provides excellent knowledge and support for those who are new to owning poultry and waterfowl; we are excited to continue to build our flock with layers from New Beginnings!

Fred

Thank you New Beginnings Poultry and Ducks for the excellent quality chicks which are now full-grown hens! Supporting local family farms in Sturgeon County is also supporting your neighbors and friends! I highly recommend them for healthy, beautiful poultry of all kinds!
